Dr. Marcus Bursik - Ph.D. from Caltech on “Volcanotectonic evolution of the Mono Basin, California,” in 1989. Came to UB in 1992, after post-doctoral research at University of Cambridge and Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Research has included volcanic seismotectonics since that time with both field work and satellite geodesy, and participation in numerous related initiatives, campaigns and boards.
