DESCRIPTION:https://bapg.org/event-428929\n\nABSTRACT\n    This session will focus on the integrated management approach employed to complete the demolition and remediation of the Spaulding Fibre Site in Tonawanda\, NY.  The speakers will highlight the key project challenges and the ways in which demolition and remediation work were conducted using an integrated management approach.  The speakers will present unique investigation and remediation approaches that were employed as well as ways in which the demolition and remediation tasks were phased to realize significant savings in cost.  Finally\, the speakers will address the ways in which the integrated management approach was used to foster cooperation between various agencies involved in completion of the project and delivery of the site for re-development. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.\n    SPEAKER BIOS\n  Stephen Frank joined LiRo Engineers\, Inc. in 1998 as a Senior Hydrogeologist. In his career spanning more than 20 years\, he has conducted a wide variety of projects including NYSDEC inactive hazardous waste site investigations and remedial design investigations\, Brownfield Program site investigation and remediation\, municipal well system aquifer testing\, industrial facility demolition studies\, and utility corridor investigations.  He is currently the site investigation technical leader for LiRo’s 85-site Investigation and Remediation contract with the New York City Department of Design and Construction.\n   \n    Robert Kreuzer\, Vice President\, has over 22 years of experience in directing comprehensive environmental services including building demolition\, hazardous materials evaluations\, site subsurface characterization\, remedial action plan development and site remediation to support large site redevelopment projects.  Mr. Kreuzer has worked on NYSDEC Superfund projects\, petroleum remediation projects\, industrial waste management projects\, and asbestos/hazardous materials projects.  He has worked under NYSDEC at VCP\, Brownfields\, ERP & petroleum consent order sites.  He has an in depth understanding of environmental regulations associated with asbestos\, lead paint\, hazardous materials abatement as they apply to renovation and demolition projects.  Mr. Kreuzer has also served as the project manager for several EA/EIS projects including NEPA/SEQRA compliant studies.  During his career\, he has demonstrated an exceptional ability to manage and coordinate a wide range of environmental projects for public and private sector clients throughout the country.\n   \n
